3004 Aluminum Plate Sheet

The 3004 series aluminum sheet also belongs to the aluminum-manganese alloy series and is a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy. The strength of 3004 is higher than 3003, with excellent formability and good corrosion resistance, suitable for manufacturing parts that require higher strength than the 3003 alloy.

3004 aluminum has good formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance; it welds well but has poor machinability.

3004 aluminum is usually processed by rolling and extrusion, but forging is generally not performed. As a forging alloy, it is not used for casting.

3004 O Aluminum Sheet

The O temper refers to the fully annealed state of the aluminum, which is the softest and most ductile state among 3004 aluminum alloys.

  • Performance Features: At this point, the internal stress of the material is completely eliminated, the tensile strength is the lowest, but the elongation after fracture is the highest. It is extremely easy to perform complex bending, stretching, and spinning, and it will not easily spring back after processing.
  • Core Applications: Mainly used for components with very high forming requirements, such as lamp holders, deep-drawn containers, heat exchanger tubes, and art decorative pieces that require large deformation.

3004 H24 Aluminum Plate

The H24 temper refers to aluminum that has been cold-worked and then partially annealed. Its strength is approximately between fully soft (O) and fully hard (H28).

  • Performance Features: This is a "semi-hard" condition. It is stronger than the O temper and less prone to denting or deformation; at the same time, it has better toughness and processing allowance than fully hard temper, usually not cracking when bent at 90 degrees.
