1050 H12 Aluminum
1050 H12 aluminum, as an industrial pure aluminum material, possesses high purity, light weight, corrosion resistance, excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, and also maintains certain strength and good machinability. Its H12 temper allows it to retain good ductility and formability while maintaining a certain level of strength, making it suitable for a variety of processing techniques and application scenarios.
- Chemical composition: 1050 H12 aluminum has an aluminum content of over 99.5%, which gives it excellent corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity, while limiting improvements in strength and hardness. Compared with other aluminum alloys, 1050 H12 aluminum has lower strength but superior plasticity and toughness, making it suitable for cold working and forming.
- Physical properties: 1050 H12 aluminum has low density, excellent thermal and electrical conductivity, and high reflectivity. These properties make it outstanding in lightweight, heat exchange, electrical, and optical applications. Its good thermal expansion characteristics and moderate melting point also make it easy to form using conventional thermal processing methods.
- Mechanical properties: 1050 H12 aluminum has moderate tensile and yield strength, lower elongation, and medium hardness. These characteristics make it suitable for applications requiring certain strength and toughness but not for high-stress structural components. Its H12 temper provides good work hardening, allowing it to maintain strength while offering excellent formability.
- Chemical characteristics: 1050 H12 aluminum has excellent corrosion resistance, particularly against atmospheric, water, and many chemical exposures. The naturally formed surface oxide layer provides additional protection, allowing it to maintain good performance in most environments.
The production process of 1050 H12 is relatively simple, which is also one of the reasons for its cost-effectiveness. The alloy’s high purity gives it many unique physical and chemical properties, suitable for a wide range of applications.
