Manufacturing Process of Polished Aluminum Mirror Sheet
Raw Material Preparation
Pure Aluminum Sheet
- Common series include 1050, 1070, 1085, etc.
- The series with the highest aluminum content, purity can reach over 99.00%
- Relatively simple production process, relatively low cost
Alloy Aluminum Sheet
- 5××× series alloy aluminum sheets: representing 5005, 5657 aluminum sheets, etc., main element is magnesium, with magnesium content between 3-5%
- 6063 Aluminum Alloy: good extrusion performance and surface finish, commonly used in construction
- 7075 Mirror Aluminum Sheet: high-strength aluminum alloy, suitable for applications requiring high strength
Billet Preparation
- Melting and Refining: The selected aluminum alloy material is melted and refined at 710-780℃ to remove impurities
- Settling Treatment: The molten aluminum alloy is poured into a settling furnace for treatment, allowing gases and impurities in the melt to fully rise or sink
- Casting and Rolling: The refined and settled aluminum alloy melt is processed in a casting and rolling machine with front-box temperature of 660-750℃, speed of 80-1200mm/min, producing billets with thickness of 1-20mm and width within 2600mm
Mirror Forming Process
- Cold Rolling: Billets are sent into a four-roll cold rolling mill to initially form the mirror surface
- Bending and Straightening: Cold-rolled aluminum sheets may have certain bends and deformations, which are corrected through bending and straightening
- Quenching: The bent and straightened aluminum sheets undergo quenching to rapidly cool and improve hardness and strength
- Aging Treatment: Quenched aluminum sheets are placed in a designated area for natural aging, stabilizing the internal microstructure
